Important maintenance

We are currently working on new features to improve the online experience for all of our Key to the World customers.

During this time we will only be able to accept in-store loads and BPay when topping up your reloadable Prepaid Currency Card. So you can be prepared for your trip, you may need to plan ahead - funds from BPay may take 2-3 business days to be available on the card.

Please be reassured there is no impact on using your card for purchases using contactless tap and go, swipe function or ATM withdrawals.

Maintenance FAQ's

How do I reload my currency card?


You can make a payment onto your card with BPay at any time from your online banking account. Please be aware it will take 2-3 business days for funds transferred by BPay to be available for use on your card.

To add funds using BPAY, goto the Manage my card page once logged and click the Add funds via BPay menu item for full instructions on how to load via BPay.

If your default currency is anything other than AUD, your BPay payment will be converted to your default currency at the exchange rate on the day your transaction is processed, which may not necessarily be the same day you made payment.  You can change your default currency at any time by visiting your Manage my card page and clicking on the default currency menu item.


You can reload your Currency Card at any time by visiting your travel consultant, or any Travel Money Oz store.

Does this impact the functionality of my currency card?

Absolutely not. Your Key to the World card with funds loaded can be used as per normal via contactless, swipe and ATM withdrawal.

I'm overseas and need assistance

Head over to our contact page click the arrow next to the Key to the World product you need assistance with. 

Why can't I reload on the website using credit/debit card?

We are making improvements to the website that means we can only accept BPay or in store loads for a period of time.

I received an error message on the website while trying to load/activate my card? It failed, has my card been debited?

Your card will not have been debited, this function is currently disabled while we make improvements to the website.

I'm overseas, how can I reload my currency card?

Why can't I activate my card online?

If you purchased your personalised card in-store you can still activate this online.  Currency cards received via an insurance purchase require a minimum $100AUD load, and while online card payments are off, we can't facilitate this online at this time.   Please visit your Travel Consultant or any Travel Money Oz store to activate and load your card in-store.
